Untreatable Infections

Detecting untreatable infection

In the research lab, the disease detectives have been cooking up a new ultrarapid method for antibiotic resistance.

The method is nearing its first key milestone, and will get an outing at the Australian Society for Microbiology meeting in Perth in early July.

Work on the FAST method has been supported by Western Australian Rotarians, Lab Without Walls and the Health Department of Western Australia since last year.
