Lab Without Walls Inc. is an Australian-registered not-for-profit organisation committed to develop new ways to support health care in needy populations, mostly in remote, rural communities.

LWW develops, demonstrates and deploys support to not-for-profit service organisations that share our values and aims.

LWW s aims to extend the boundaries of the possible by pioneering new approaches to pathology investigations where this kind of clinical support has not been available before. As such, we often work closely with public pathology service and higher education providers.

Lab Without Walls emerged out of a series of health development projects in remote locations in Australia and overseas. We took the more portable parts of our clinical laboratory equipment on our travels and arrived at practical solutions to improve rapid diagnosis far away from the laborary – our own highly effective ‘lab without walls’.

LWW has developed a series of field portable pathology methods over the last five years with support from PathWest Laboratory Medicine, the University of Western Australia, and biotechnology equipment providers including Agilent Technologies, Applied Biosystems and BioRad.
